Lunada Canyon Preserve
Entrance to Lunada Canyon |
This beautiful 20-acre canyon was once prime land for development. A gift to the Conservancy in 1992 from the E.K. Zuckerman family created the Land Conservancy's first natural area.
Advisory Board
Last Meeting: September 10, 2005. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy welcomes community volunteers, neighbors, and interested parties to take part in the Lunada Canyon Nature Preserve Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is responsible for assisting the PVPLC in the implementation of the Lunada Canyon Nature Preserve Restoration and Management Plan. The Restoration and Management Plan incorporates detailed plans for habitat restoration and preservation, trail management, interpretive and educational programs, visitor access and amenities consistent with passive recreational use of the property as a nature preserve. The goal of the Advisory Board is to provide community-based advice, as the PVPLC seeks the best path to implementation of the comprehensive management plan.
The Advisory Board will meet twice a year, as directed by the PVPLC. Meetings are open to the public. Questions should be addressed to Mike Yadrick, Director of Restoration Programs, at 310-541-7613 ext. 203.
