Photo Contest
Each year The Land Conservancy co-sponsors a photography contest to promote the beauty of natural open space and encourage public appreciation of both the land and its inhabitants. Entry forms with contest details are mailed annually to our membership and distributed to local libraries and photo retailers. The competition is open to everyone. Winners are announced at an Awards Ceremony which is usually held in the fall in conjunction with the Land Conservancy's Mile Long Picnic event.

Rules & Entry Information
Theme: Capture the Natural Beauty of the Palos Verdes Peninsula

Rules:
- All entries must be received at the PVPLC office address by September 29, 2006. Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at the PVPLC Mile Long Picnic on October 22. All contest entries will be displayed at the event and on this website. Individuals with winning photographs will be notified prior to the awards ceremony.
- Photos must be taken on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and must be consistent with the contest theme, "Capture the Natural Beauty of the Palos Verdes Peninsula".
- Photos may not contain recognizable people.
- Entries may be color or black and white images, unmounted and unframed. Print size should be a minimum of 5" x 7" and maximum of 8-1/2" x 12". All entries will be judged based on the print submitted.
- Label all photo submissions with your name, address, telephone number, image title, category and location where the photo was taken.
- Entries will be displayed on the PVPLC web site. Digital version of photo entries for website display may be submitted via e-mail (JPG or GIF format up to 1MB in size)
- All entries must be accompanied by the appropriate entry fee payment.
- The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy reserves the right to reproduce photographs in publications and electronic media.
- Photo entries will normally not be returned.
Entry Fee:
$15 for one photo; $5 for each additional photo.
Students: $10 for maximum of three entries
